The Nurse Anesthetist is responsible for inducing and maintaining general and regional anesthesia at required levels. They must also manage untoward reactions and provide appropriate intervention and treatment for patients.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited school of anesthesia. They are required to hold a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification and Alabama licensure.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Graduate of accredited school of anesthesia by the AANA. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with an Alabama licensure. Registered by the Alabama Board of Nurse Examiners.
