Short Description Receives specimens and orders appropriate tests as prescribed; processes samples for laboratory testing using various computer applications.

Checks for specimen integrity and proper specimen identification.

Prints and distributes reports, answers telephone calls from customers including inpatient nurses/physicians and outpatient clients.

Processes specimens for multiple Reference Labs.

Experience Required 0-2 years' experience required Prior experience in a hospital laboratory receiving area preferred.

Education Requirements High School/GED required.

Vocational/Technical School preferred.

Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training preferred.

Salary Min ($) USD $23.00 Salary Max ($) USD $29.00

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with vocational or technical school training preferred. Prior experience in a hospital laboratory receiving area is preferred, along with phlebotomy or medical assistant training.
