The Counselor provides individual and group counseling and related clinical services to clients experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns. This role conducts assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, provides crisis support, and coordinates care with internal and community providers.
Provide individual and group counseling services consistent with the counselor’s education, license, and scope of practice. Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with each client’s needs and recovery goals. Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as clinically appropriate. Provide crisis intervention and use appropriate de-escalation techniques when needed. Coordinate referrals to community resources, healthcare providers, and higher levels of care. Collaborate with courts, schools, treatment providers, and other stakeholders when authorized and appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and other required clinical documentation. Participate in treatment-team meetings, case consultation, and care-coordination activities. Protect client confidentiality and comply with organizational, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
Education: Associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related behavioral-health field, as required for the applicable license.
Strong therapeutic, crisis-intervention, and interpersonal skills. Clear and professional written and verbal communication. Strong organization, judgment, dependability, and respect for confidentiality. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree and possess 1-2 years of relevant experience in mental health or addiction counseling. An active professional license such as LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, or LICDC is required.
