Job description
Under the direct supervision of the Managing Director, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant is responsible for primary care to patients acting as an assistant to physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices. Hours
7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with some weekend/holiday call rotation from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. On-call after hours with additional pay, must be willing to work one day a week in a satellite location on the peninsula or north bay. Primary location for this role is San Francisco.
What you will do
Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients.
Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
Performs a complete physical exam and records findings. Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
Administers medication and injections according to physician direction.
Maintains and reviews patients' records, charts and other pertinent information.
Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation.
Performs other related duties as requested by the Managing Director
Performs ultrasounds, SIS, HyFoSy, and other procedures
What is required
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program or PA program
A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a clinic setting.
Valid Nurse Practitioner License, ANA Certification.
Strong Written and Interpersonal communication skills
