Job Summary

• Community Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for our School Based Health Clinics in Northwest, AR.
• The primary location will be at Jones Elementary located in Springdale, AR and will cover other School Based Health Locations in the following areas: Springdale, Fayetteville, Elkins, West Fork, Prairie Grove.
• Less common coverage areas needed: Rogers, Siloam Springs.
• CMA or RMA certification is required.
• This is a full-time position scheduled Monday- Friday 8:00-4:30p with mileage reimbursement.

• Key Responsibilities
• Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
• Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
• Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
• Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
• Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
• Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.
• Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.

• Proficient spelling necessary.
• Ability to work and function independently and within a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.
• Proficient knowledge in computer software such as Microsoft Office Software.
