The clinician will provide mental health assessments and therapeutic services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. They are responsible for maintaining clinical files, developing treatment plans, and participating in case consultations while balancing direct client care with administrative duties.
Candidates must be license-eligible in California (LCSW, MFT, AMFT, PsyD, LPCC, or ASW) and hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, along with experience working with survivors of trauma and domestic violence.
Child and Family Clinician

Reports To: Manager of Mental Health Services
Monday – Friday, 9-5 pm (37.5 hrs per week)
Possible Percentage of Work from Home: A minimum of 60% onsite expected

As the only agency in San Mateo County with the sole purpose of serving those experiencing intimate partner abuse, CORA provides safety, support and healing. CORA’s comprehensive services for clients include a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, legal services and counseling. In addition, CORA provides community education and prevention programming throughout the county. Position Summary: –
The bilingual Child & Family Clinician will provide mental health assessments, individual, family, and group therapies to individuals and families who have been impacted by domestic violence. The Family Clinician will be stationed at CORA’s main office site and will be expected to travel to and from the Transitional Housing apartments and Emergency Safe houses as needed.
This position requires you to work with children, and your profession qualifies you as “mandated reporters” of child abuse or neglect, which is found in California Penal Code Section 11165.7. You are required to report suspected cases of abuse and neglect pursuant to California Penal Code Section 11166.5.
