The veterinarian will provide compassionate, high-quality medical and surgical care for shelter pets, collaborating with staff to ensure optimal outcomes. Responsibilities also include contributing to population health, shaping shelter protocols, and guiding staff and volunteers.
Candidates must have at least four years of experience as a veterinarian, hold a DVM or VMD from a US accredited school, and possess a NYS veterinary license. Surgical experience, including soft tissue procedures like spays and neuters, is necessary, though shelter medicine experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation & Schedule This is a 3-day per week part‑time position with an hourly rate of $125/hr, commensurate with experience. Part-time employees of Bideawee enjoy generous amounts of Paid Time Off, 403(b) with matching employer contributions, and discount services and pet food
