The MRI Technologist performs MRI scans as directed by the radiologist and ensures patient care during visits. They also maintain a safe environment and develop positive relationships with patients and co-workers.
Candidates must have an Associate's Degree from an accredited program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or Sonography. A minimum of 2 years of MR scanning experience is preferred, along with required certifications.

Performs MRI scans as directed by radiologist Patient care during visit to MRI Knowledge of MRI equipment and safety in MRI environment. Assures a safe and clean environment Maintains knowledge of technical skills Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment Demonstrates successful technical/patient skills by efficiently implementing special procedure technology in the MR area Uses administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department Collaborates effectively and in a timely manner with co-workers and clinical staff Clear knowledge of modality specific equipment, computers, PACS, EMR and RIS.
Education Qualifications Associate's Degree Completion of an accredited 2 year program in a school of Radiologic, MRI, or Nuclear Medicine Technology (Required) or Other Accredited Program: Completion of an accredited program in a school of Sonography with current ARDMS certificate (Required) and High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
Experience Qualifications MR scanning experience. (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities Knowledge of sterile and surgical procedures. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of MRI equipment and safety in MRI environment. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of radiology information system. (Required proficiency) Basic knowledge of oxygen tanks, suction machine and emergency equipment. (Required proficiency)
