Responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of medical instruments. Ensures the functionality of decontamination equipment, cart washers, and sterilizers according to manufacturer specifications.
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a certification as a Registered Central Service Technician, Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, or Surgical Technologist. One year of experience in sterile processing is preferred.
The Sterile Processing Tech II is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments, inspection of decontamination equipment, cart washers and various sterilizers for functionality according to manufacture's equipment, and supplies.
