Provide compassionate nursing care and end-of-life support to terminally ill hospice patients and their families. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop care plans and supervise nursing service personnel.
Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with a degree from an accredited school of nursing and a valid driver's license. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is preferred, along with the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting patients.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state. Minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred; recent patient contact within last 3 years (preferred). Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to cope with emotional stress. Ability to supervise nursing staff and respond to crises outside hospital settings. Completion of hospice training program required (or willingness to complete). Physical capability to perform essential duties, including lifting patients up to 100 pounds and tolerating exposure to elements like odors, blood, and body fluids. Must provide annual TB test and other state-required health screenings. Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Ability to adapt to diverse social, racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds.
