Provide patient care to individuals suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor. Duties encompass general therapy, critical care, education, and pulmonary services research.
Must be a graduate of a COARC accredited respiratory care program and a licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board. Required certifications include CRT, BLS, ACLS, and NRP within six months of hire.
Under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Supervisor and according to specific instructions and established departmental policies and procedures, provides patient care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems. Job duties and responsibilities are related to General Therapy, Critical Care, Education, Processing Control, Pulmonary Services Research, and Leadership.
Graduate from COARC accredited respiratory care program. Licensed practitioner by the State of Texas Medical Board. Certified Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.
