The clinician is responsible for managing a caseload of patients, providing direct care through assessments, individual and group counseling, and treatment planning. They must also handle crisis intervention, maintain professional medical records, and coordinate aftercare services.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be independently licensed as a Behavioral Health Clinician (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT) with a Master's or Doctoral degree in a human services field. A minimum of two years of behavioral health counseling experience is required.
Range: $79,040-$91,520 (experience and education dependent)

Clinician Qualifications
Independently licensed

Clinician, including: LICSW/LMHC/LMFT

Duties & Responsibilities
Crisis intervention;
Maintain assigned caseload; Providing direct care to patients/residents – including assessments, individual counseling, discharge and aftercare planning, treatment plans and updates, weekly progress notes, daily groups facilitation, group note completion, and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments;
Making referrals when appropriate;
Responsible for each assigned patients/residents’ medical records. All records are to be professional, complete and thorough with entries made in a timely manner;
Responsible connecting patients/residents with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the resident and his/her family access services when appropriate;
Communicating/involving family in treatment at patients’ request;
Attend and participate in all facility meetings, case conferences, Treatment Team meetings (MDT), and mandatory trainings, as directed by the Clinical Director;
Responsible for continued education in the field of substance use, mental health and related courses;
Always utilize standards precautions;
Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient’s rights;
Completion of all required external clinical communications including: court/DCF/DMH monthly compliance reports, evaluation summaries, other requested external documentation;
Ability to provide clinical services through in-person and telehealth modalities;
Seek opportunities for clinical growth through certification;
Maintain professional license in good standing;
Responsible for contacting the insurance company for authorization, as needed;
Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient’s rights;
Provide supervision to program staff and maintain supervisory notes;
Participate on assigned committees and prepare reports as needed
Coordinate with other departments/facilities to enhance and ensure quality care
Preparation of reports and correspondence in response to licensing and accreditation boards
Insures confidentiality according to 42 CFR part 2 and HIPAA regulations
After-hours/on-call program support for patient clinical emergencies and other program urgent needs on a rotating basis with Clinical Director.
Other duties as assigned by the Program Director, Site Director and/or COO.
