The Medical Assistant coordinates patient care by preparing patients for visits, documenting vitals, and assisting providers with clinical procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining exam room standards, managing medical supplies, and facilitating communication between patients and providers.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a Medical Assistant Certificate, with BLS certification preferred. One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting and proficiency with EMR systems are highly desired.
The Medical Assistant/Clinical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with patient care and acts as the coordinator of care for patients before, during, and after office visits. This role includes preparing patients for visits, documenting vitals, maintaining exam room standards, performing basic clinical procedures, assisting with wound care and casting, and ensuring effective communication between patients and providers across multiple locations. This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday hours.
