The clinician will assess and triage abnormal skin findings from Neko scans to determine if patients can be discharged or require referral. They will also establish clinical escalation processes and build a network of community dermatologists across US sites.
Candidates must hold a current New York State medical license and have completed a formal dermatology residency. Proficiency in dermoscopy and the ability to independently manage suspicious skin lesions are required.
Clinical — Dermatology Triage and Follow-Up Review all abnormal skin findings from Neko scans, including pigmented lesions, suspicious moles, and common skin cancers. Interpret findings and triage as: reassure and discharge, monitor at next annual scan, or refer to community dermatology. Maintain accurate, structured clinical documentation for every encounter in compliance with applicable state and federal requirements. Governance and Quality Ensure dermatology triage decisions are consistent with Neko's clinical protocols, current AAD guidelines, and applicable US regulatory standards. Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of US dermatology triage protocols, working with the Medical Innovation team. Referral Network Development Build and maintain relationships with community dermatologists and dermatopathology services across markets. Minimum Requirements MD or DO degree with completion of a dermatology residency from an ACGME-accredited program. Board certification (or eligibility) in Dermatology (ABD). Current licensure to practice medicine in New York State, in good standing with the NYSED. Demonstrated ability to independently assess, triage, and manage skin lesions including pigmented lesions, suspicious moles, and common skin cancers. Proficiency with dermoscopy, or completion of an accredited dermoscopy training program prior to start. Familiarity with AAD guidelines and their application to a preventive health population. Preferred Dermoscopy certification (SDC, IDC, or equivalent). Experience in a high-volume outpatient dermatology or preventive health setting. Telehealth clinical experience. Experience with AI-assisted diagnostic or imaging interpretation platforms. Interest in or experience with health tech, preventive medicine, or direct-to-consumer healthcare models. Multilingual — Spanish particularly advantageous for the NYC market. Multiple state medical licenses.
