The role involves reviewing and triaging abnormal cardiovascular findings from Neko scans to determine if patients need reassurance, monitoring, or referral. Additionally, the clinician will develop cardiology triage protocols and maintain a community referral network of specialists.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree with a cardiology fellowship and board certification in Cardiovascular Disease. A current medical license in New York State and proficiency in interpreting 12-lead EKGs and echocardiograms are required.
Clinical — Cardiology Triage and Follow-Up Review all abnormal cardiovascular findings from Neko scans, including 12-lead EKGs and echocardiograms. Interpret findings and triage as: reassure and discharge, monitor at next annual scan, or refer to community cardiology. Maintain accurate, structured clinical documentation for every encounter in compliance with applicable state and federal requirements. Governance and Quality Ensure cardiology triage decisions are consistent with Neko's clinical protocols, current ACC/AHA guidelines, and applicable US regulatory standards. Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of US cardiology triage protocols, working with the Medical Innovation team. Referral Network Development Build and maintain relationships with community cardiologists, cardiac imaging centers, and electrophysiology services across markets. Minimum Requirements MD or DO degree with completion of a cardiology fellowship from an ACGME-accredited program. Board certification (or eligibility) in Cardiovascular Disease (ABIM) or a recognized cardiovascular subspecialty. Current licensure to practice medicine in New York State, in good standing with the NYSED. Demonstrated ability to independently interpret 12-lead EKGs, including identification of arrhythmias, conduction abnormalities, ischemic changes, and structural patterns. Demonstrated ability to review and interpret echocardiograms. Familiarity with ACC/AHA cardiovascular risk guidelines and their application to a preventive health population. Preferred Experience in a high-volume outpatient cardiology, preventive cardiology, or cardiac imaging setting. Familiarity with cardiovascular risk scoring tools. Telehealth clinical experience. Experience with AI-assisted EKG or imaging interpretation platforms. Interest in or experience with health tech, preventive medicine, or direct-to-consumer healthcare models. Multiple state medical licenses.
