The Virginia Veterinary Centers in Short Pump, VA is hiring an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Dentistry Team!

Compensation

  • $27/hr & up (based on experience & skill set) PLUS a $3,000 sign- on bonus for qualified LVT's!
  • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (7am- 7pm)

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians in advanced anesthetic procedures, including pre-medication, intubation, surgical prep, and monitoring
  • Perform diagnostic sample collection, imaging, and lab submissions
  • Maintain and place IV catheters, ensuring proper patient care
  • Accurately administer and document controlled substances
  • Provide compassionate client communication, from triage to discharge
  • Ensure proper medical record documentation and OSHA compliance

Experience Required

  • Strong venipuncture & IV catheter placement skills
  • Passion for patient care and client communication
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-tech, fast-paced environment
  • A team player with a commitment to excellence

Qualifications

  • Veterinary Technician License (required)
  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Proven ability to multi- task in a fast pace setting
  • Strong sense of compassion and empathy for patients and clients
  • Strong anesthesia skills

Requirements
