Medical Technologist / Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Lab Technician | Lab Gateway Regional Medical Center - Granite City, IL Part-Time | 3rd Shift, 8-hr shifts, rotating weekends/holidays | $20.41–$38.56/hr

Gateway Regional Medical Center is looking for a Medical Technologist, Medical Lab Scientist, or Medical Lab Technician to join our Lab team on 3rd shift. You'll play a critical role in patient care - running diagnostic tests, analyzing results, and giving clinicians the data they need to make confident treatment decisions, all within a quality-driven, detail-oriented team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced lab professional or a new graduate ready to apply their training in a real diagnostic setting.

  • What You'll Do
  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to support diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention
  • Analyze and interpret test results with precision and accuracy
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality control standards
  • Troubleshoot complex laboratory instruments and equipment

What You Bring

For MLT candidates

  • Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program (including chemistry and biology coursework), or equivalent combination of accredited coursework and structured/military lab training
  • MLT certification eligibility (ASCP, AMT, HEW, or CLS/NCA or equivalent); registry within 12 months of program completion recommended

For MT/MLS candidates

  • Baccalaureate degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution, plus one year in an accredited lab training program
  • MLS/MT certification eligibility (ASCP, AMT, HEW, or CLS/NCA or equivalent); certification within 12 months of program completion preferred

For all candidates

• Previous lab experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply

Requirements

Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field. Candidates must have or be eligible for ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification.
