Provide clinically appropriate respiratory care to patients of all ages under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Additionally, serve as an equipment assistant for the Respiratory Care Department.
Must be a high school graduate currently entering the final year of a respiratory care program with a current BLS certification. Candidates must provide documentation of completed skills and maintain good academic standing.
- Hourly $20.57 - $30.86 Overlake Medical Center has a wonderful part time opportunity for Respiratory Care Students. The Respiratory Care Intern provides clinically appropriate Respiratory Care to patients of all ages, (e.g., newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). Care is provided under direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner. Care performed is limited to only those procedures that have been documented as completed in the associated Respiratory Care School curriculum prior to being performed in the hospital patient care areas. In addition to clinical duties, the Respiratory Care Intern will also function as an equipment assistant for the Respiratory Care Department. .3 FTE (24 hours per two-week pay period) Day shift Compensation for this internship is a flat pay rate of $25.00/hour Minimum
Education: High school graduate is required. Currently enrolled and entering final year of respiratory care program. Must provide documented of completion of required skills checklist. Skills will be verified during orientation via competency and skills checklist. Must remain in good standing with respiratory care program and provide proof at the end of every term.
