About the Role

Beacon Inpatient Hospital in Lacombe is looking to add experienced and compassionate LMSW, LCSW, LPCs to their Inpatient team.

Our therapist plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive therapeutic care to patients within our inpatient hospital setting, aiming to improve their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

This position involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support recovery and enhance quality of life.

Our therapists collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care.

Our therapist also provide education and support to patients and their families to facilitate understanding and adherence to treatment plans.

Ultimately, the role contributes significantly to patient outcomes by promoting healing, functional independence, and emotional resilience during hospitalization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Lmsw, lcsw, plpc, lpc.
  • Valid and current LA licensure.
  • At least two years of clinical experience in an inpatient hospital or acute care setting, preferably mental health.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic assessment tools, treatment modalities, and patient care standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with diverse patient populations including adults, geriatrics, and/or trauma patients.
  • Certification in specialized therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, neurorehabilitation, or manual therapy.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare documentation software.
  • Advanced training in interdisciplinary collaboration and patient education methods.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working in multicultural healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and psychological conditions to determine therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and clinical guidelines.
  • Provide direct therapeutic interventions such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or counseling as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans as patient conditions evolve.
  • Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapy goals, techniques, and strategies to support recovery and prevent relapse.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and contribute professional insights.
  • Stay current with advances in therapeutic techniques and hospital protocols to ensure high-quality care delivery.
