About the role

Provide psychotherapeutic services to children, youth, and adults using strength-based modalities in individual and family settings. Responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment and safety plans, and coordinating care with internal and external providers.

The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County is seeking a passionate and qualified Mental Health Therapist to join our outpatient counseling program. Reporting to the Director of Counseling Services, this position provides psychotherapeutic services to children, youth, and adults. Evening availability is required. Key Responsibilities: Maintain a minimum caseload of ten (10) clients Provide psychotherapeutic interventions in individual and family settings using strength-based therapy modalities Conduct clinical assessments and psychosocial histories Collaborate with clients and families to develop treatment goals and plans Develop crisis and safety plans in partnership with clients and families Complete timely and accurate progress notes and outcome documentation Assist clients and families in accessing community resources and supports Coordinate care through collaboration with internal and external providers Participate in community outreach activities within Monmouth County Attend team meetings and weekly clinical supervision Complete all required training in compliance with agency and state regulations

Qualifications

Master’s degree in a recognized mental health discipline All levels of licensure considered (LAC, LSW, LPC, LCSW); fully licensed clinicians preferred Willingness to work with children and adolescents required Availability to work evening hours required

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in a recognized mental health discipline and licensure (LAC, LSW, LPC, or LCSW), with fully licensed clinicians preferred. Candidates must be willing to work with children and adolescents and have availability for evening hours.
