Harrison County Hospital is hiring a PTA/Physical Therapy Assistant PRN to provide safe, effective therapy services and thorough documentation for patients across the lifespan (neonate through geriatric). This per diem role supports the rehab team by delivering treatments aligned to the plan of care and helping patients, families, and caregivers understand goals and progress.
Key responsibilities include implementing prescribed interventions and standard therapy modalities, monitoring and communicating patient response, completing timely EHR documentation, addressing patient/family education needs, and supporting departmental workflow and patient care assignments.
Apply today to be considered for PRN coverage Monday through Saturday, as needed.
Your day begins by reviewing the schedule and prior notes in the EHR, then coordinating with therapists and nursing to confirm timing and any precautions. Between patient visits, you document clearly, adjust priorities as add-on needs arise, and communicate progress updates to the care team. You’ll switch comfortably between age groups and settings, keeping interactions calm and respectful. As the shift closes, you ensure documentation is complete, equipment and spaces are ready for the next day, and any follow-up items are handed off appropriately.
