Harrison County Hospital is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support our General Surgery practice in Corydon, IN. This role exists to help deliver efficient, patient-centered clinic visits through accurate clinical support and dependable administrative coordination.
Key responsibilities include preparing patients and exam rooms, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, maintaining and updating patient records, and completing front-desk and phone tasks as needed.
You’ll start by reviewing the day’s surgical clinic schedule, confirming room readiness, and coordinating timing with the care team. Throughout the shift, you’ll move between patient interactions and computer-based charting, keeping details organized and information current. Expect steady communication with providers, patients, and families, along with periodic phone calls and paperwork that require careful attention. The day typically ends with closing out documentation, ensuring charts are complete, and setting the workspace up for the next clinic day.
