Job Overview

• The University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank Campus is looking for a passionate and hardworking Nursing Monitor Technician to join our Cardiology unit! Our 38-bed unit cares for patients with heart conditions, heart and lung transplants, surgeries, chest pains, heart failures and rhythm issues. This position works a .6FTE (48 hours per 2 week pay period). These are are 12 hour shifts, overnight shifts (7:00pm-7:30am) with every third weekend rotation. This position is responsible for: Observing and monitoring a central bank of patient information related to EKGs oxygen saturation and BP's Timely communication to RN if there are any changes in these parameters You may also work as a Nursing Station Technician under the direction of a nurse to assist in: Delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities Transporting patients and equipment Setting up and maintaining patient rooms Reordering and stocking supplies Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support Basic ECG training, reading and interpretation at time of hire or within 30 days
