About the role

Provide outpatient-based acute and episodic care in a walk-in/urgent care setting. Independently evaluate and manage non-emergent conditions and perform minor clinical procedures.

Emergency medicine – outpatient np/Pa

Wilmington Health is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient Emergency Medicine team. This role is ideal for an experienced advanced practice provider who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys providing high-quality episodic and urgent care.

  • Position highlights
  • Provide outpatient-based acute and episodic care in a walk-in/urgent care setting
  • Independently evaluate and manage a wide range of non-emergent and urgent conditions
  • Perform minor procedures (laceration repair, splinting, joint injections, wound care, etc.)
  • Access to on-site imaging, laboratory services, and extensive specialty support
  • Work within a physician-led, multi-specialty group of 300+ providers
  • Flexible, predictable part-time schedule
  • Supportive clinical staff and strong operational infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Current NP or PA license with eligibility to practice in North Carolina
  • Experience in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or a similar high-acuity outpatient setting preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment

Requirements
