Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, documentation, and the initiation of care plans. Acts as a resource person and charge nurse while participating in quality monitoring and professional development activities.
Requires a valid Massachusetts RN license, BLS certification, and Med/Surg experience in an acute care facility within the last two years. A BSN and specialized experience in cardiac or dialysis care are preferred.
· Ability to read, write, and communicate in English · Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing · (RN) - Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts · (BLS) - Current Basic Life Support certification · CCHC Pharmacology Exam (pass prior to start date) · CCHC Basic Arrhythmia Exam (pass prior to start date) RN Residency & Transition (job code: 6004), must be completed within 3 months from start date · Med/Surg experience in an acute care facility within the last (2) two years · (Preferred) - Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) · (Preferred) - Experience in the management of cardiac patients · (Preferred) - ACLS, recent telemetry experience, Med/Surg. certification · (Cert) – Obtain CAPD Certification within 6 months, offered within · (Cert) – Obtain Drug certification within 6 months, offered within · (Preferred) – Experience in the care of Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, ventilated patients, and patients receiving procedural sedation
