We are currently seeking a compassionate, organized, and clinically skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our clinical team.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) serves as an integral member of the clinical team, providing direct patient care and procedural support within the vascular surgery practice and Angio Suite environment. This role supports physicians and nursing staff by assisting with patient admissions, patient care, procedural preparation, recovery support, medication administration, chart preparation, and clinical documentation.
The LVN is responsible for maintaining clinical standards, supporting patient safety, assisting with procedures, and ensuring efficient clinic and procedural workflow while adhering to all California LVN scope-of-practice regulations. Reports To: Angio Suite Nursing Director / Clinical Leadership
Key Responsibilities Assist with patient admissions, intake, and room preparation Prepare patients for vascular procedures and treatments Assist physicians and nursing staff during in-office and procedural cases Monitor and document patient status before, during, and after procedures within LVN scope of practice Assist with patient recovery and discharge processes Administer medications and injections as directed and permitted under California LVN regulations Perform vital signs, wound care, dressing changes, specimen collection, and other clinical duties Prepare and maintain procedural instrumentation, supplies, and treatment rooms Ensure proper cleaning, stocking, and organization of clinical and procedural areas Prepare charts, update medical records, and maintain accurate EMR documentation Coordinate patient flow and assist with maintaining efficient clinic operations Educate patients regarding post-procedure care instructions as directed by providers Assist with inventory management and supply monitoring Support providers, nurses, and front office staff as needed Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards Participate in maintaining a positive, professional, and team-oriented environment
Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license required Current BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience required Experience in PACU, surgery, vascular, interventional radiology, emergency room, or procedural care strongly preferred Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural support Strong understanding of patient care protocols and medical terminology Experience with EMR systems such as Athena, Epic, or similar Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and patient service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff
Experience in vascular surgery or outpatient procedural settings Experience assisting with minimally invasive procedures Bilingual English/Spanish preferred IV therapy or procedural sedation experience is a plus Experience working in a team-based specialty medical practice
Work Schedule Per Diem, Monday - Friday Day shift schedule Rare overtime or occasional weekends as needed Travel between office locations may occasionally be required
$35.00 – $45.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and assisting patients Frequent use of computers, phones, and EMR systems Ability to assist with patient transfers and movement Occasional lifting of supplies or equipment up to 25 lbs Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural and clinical environment Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff throughout the day
