The MRI Registered Nurse provides high-quality care to patients undergoing imaging, including safety screening and IV access. They are responsible for administering contrast agents and monitoring patients for adverse reactions throughout the procedure.
Candidates must hold a BSN and an active RN license along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Prior experience in Critical Care is explicitly required for this position.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments prior to MRI procedures Screen patients for MRI safety Initiate and maintain IV access for contrast administration Administer contrast agents per protocol Monitor patients throughout procedures Recognize and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies Provide patient education and support Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards Document all patient care accurately Collaborate with MRI technologists and radiologists
