The Certified Medical Assistant supports a patient-centered approach by interviewing patients and measuring vital signs. They are responsible for preparing treatment rooms and assisting physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
Requires a high school diploma and certification from AMT, AAMA, NHA, or MedCA, along with a current BLS certification. One year of patient care experience and completion of an accredited medical assisting program are preferred.
