• Shift: AnyOur Hospice Support Specialists provide end of life care at the Hospice Home of Johnson County, also known as The Bird House. The Bird House is a community based nonprofit dedicated to providing compassionate, dignified end of life care by focusing on the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of our guests and their loves ones in a peaceful, homelike environment.Qualifications
• Qualifications:
• Work day shifts
• Previous caregiver experience required; end of life care experience preferred.
• Experience working independently
• Must be able to work every other weekend
• Must be able to pass multiple background checks
• Able to work 12 hour shifts
• Responsibilities: - Provide companionship, personal cares(bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting), medication management, meal preparation, housekeeping/laundry assistance, positioning, transferring, and feeding as appropriate. - Assist with care at the time of dying and death. - Complete medication management course or equivalent. - Work with volunteers - Participate in orientation and continuing education for the staff. - Work with a team of dedicated professionals to provide the best care possible to our guests. - Maintain confidentiality on all guests. -
