Provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and monitor patient health status on the floor. Collaborate with the healthcare team and lead NAR staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Must possess a valid RN or LPN license and have completed an accredited nursing program. BLS certification and previous clinical experience are preferred.
Provide direct nursing care to patients on the floor, providing support, education, medications and treatments. Assess patients' health status, monitor vital signs, and promptly report changes or concerns to supervisors as appropriate. Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols. Document patient care activities accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and visitors. Encourage and empower NAR staff in their work with residents and ADLs as the shift leaders on the floor. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. Completion of an accredited nursing program. Previous clinical experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliability to work every other weekend as required.
