Perform diagnostic medical ultrasound exams and operate sonographic equipment while maintaining patient workflow and quality assessment. Ensure accurate capture of anatomical and pathological conditions and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.
Requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited sonography program. Must obtain RVT and/or RDMS certification within one year and hold a current BLS certification.
Completion of an accredited program in a school of Sonography (Required) Work Experience less than 1 year New graduates from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures (Preferred proficiency) Basic computer knowledge. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of various types of ultrasound equipment. (Required proficiency) Basic knowledge of oxygen tanks, suction machines and IVAC pumps.
