Overview Registered Nurse – PCU in a travel temporary assignment based in Atlanta, GA. Start date July 6, 2026 for an 8-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift is night, 12-hour shifts on a 2x3 schedule within a hospital setting. This opening requires NIHSS documentation in the CV, EPIC EMR experience, and neuro/step-down nursing expertise.

Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care for adult neuro/PCU patients, including those with neuro deficits requiring close monitoring and intervention
Conduct frequent neurological assessments and document findings; monitor for changes in status and respond per protocol
Administer medications and therapies, manage IVs and monitoring equipment, and coordinate pain control and safety measures
Document care in EPIC EMR with timely, accurate charting and adherence to regulatory standards
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, case management, rehabilitation services) to plan and optimize patient progression and discharge planning
Requirements
Active Georgia RN license (or eligibility to obtain)
NIHSS certification documented in CV packet; NIHSS must be available to be considered
EPIC EMR experience required
Minimum 2 years’ RN experience in PCU or neuro/step-down; strong med-surg experience with NIHSS and ACLS considered
ACLS certification preferred
Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program; current RN licensure to practice in Georgia
