The COTA is responsible for implementing standards of care for occupational therapy services under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist. They perform delegated services within their scope of practice to provide quality patient care.
Candidates must be a graduate of an AOTA-accredited curriculum, hold NBCOT certification, and be licensed by the State Board of Healing Arts. A minimum of one year of clinical experience and a valid CPR certification are required.

Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Certified with the National Certification Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Licensed by the State Board of Healing Arts in accordance with state licensure laws. A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a certified occupational therapy assistant. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills. Possess and maintain valid CPR certification. Must have obtained in-person with a practical skills evaluation as part of the final test. Access to reliable transportation.
