The Physician Assistant performs technical procedures for patient admission, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment under physician supervision. They also provide preventive health care and participate in research and performance improvement activities.
Candidates must be a graduate of an ARC-PA approved program and hold a New York State Physician Assistant license. Required certifications include NCCPA, BCLS, and the New York State mandated Infection Control Course.
The Physician Assistant under the direct supervision of a Physician performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up and outcome evaluation. Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive health care services. Participates in performance improvement, research and educational activities.
