As a Senior Dialysis Tech, team members rely on you for leadership and guidance while setting up and delivering dialysis treatments, including cannulating access sites and responding to complications under RN direction. Responsibilities also include monitoring patient vital signs, recording observations in the EMR, reporting status changes to the RN, and inspecting dialysis access sites.
Required qualifications include a Dialysis Technician National Certification and maintaining unit-based competency in monitoring water treatment and bicarbonate mixing systems. Preferred qualifications suggest a High School diploma or equivalent, along with 2-4 years of experience in patient care or as an EMT, plus strong customer service and communication skills.
Dialysis Tech Sr.
Patient Care. Set up and deliver dialysis treatment; cannulate fistula or graft; obtain blood samples and culture specimens; calculate fluid removal based on nursing assessment; respond to treatment complications under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) Reporting. Monitor patient’s vital signs during treatment as well as record observations and interventions in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system; report patient status changes to RN when appropriate; retrieve lab results when necessary Site Management. Inspect and evaluate dialysis access site and report conditions to the RN REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Dialysis Technician National Certification required Maintains unit based competency and skill in monitoring water treatment systems and Bicarbonate mixing systems

It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
