The Genetic Counseling Assistant supports the Medical Genetics team with patient intake, documentation, and post-clinic follow-up. They collaborate with Genetic Counselors and other clinicians to ensure efficient patient care.
A High School Degree or GED is required, with a Bachelor's degree in healthcare or biological sciences preferred. Candidates should have experience with patient contact in a medical setting and experience with clinical projects.
Description Shodair is looking to add a Genetic Counseling Assistant to our Medical Genetics team! The Genetic Counseling Assistant will work as a team member with the Genetic Counselors and other clinicians, assisting them with aspects of patient intake, genetic counseling, documentation and post-clinic follow-up duties.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; Required education and experience—High School Degree or GED. Prior experience with patient and or family contact in a community or medical setting. Previous experience with clinical projects, either in an administrative or clinical role, strongly preferred. Preferred education and experience— Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, biological/health science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
