The pharmacist evaluates prescriptions for appropriateness and collaborates with healthcare professionals to provide clinical support for hospice patients. They are also responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and managing the procurement and disposal of medications.
A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required, with a PharmD preferred, along with a valid pharmacist license in the state of practice. Candidates must possess strong clinical judgment and proficiency in pharmacy information systems and regulatory standards.

Accurately label products, including cautionary and auxiliary labels. Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments, etc.). Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels. Participate in pharmacy inventory management, including checking stock and removing expired medications. Communicate professionally with internal and external customers. Assist with onboarding and training new pharmacy staff. Perform specialized tasks that may include: Working in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room. Operating automated machines to prepack medications. Mixing IV medications and sanitizing IV room/equipment. Servicing facility-based dispensing machines (e.g., Omnicell). Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned.
Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Pharmacy Technician license as required by state Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology. Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
