The Physical Therapist assesses patient functional limitations to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans. They provide direct care, educate patients on recovery, and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize clinical outcomes.
Candidates must be graduates of a CAPTE-accredited program with a current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist and BLS certification. Experience in outpatient orthopedics and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.
The Physical Therapist assesses patients’ strengths, weaknesses, and functional limitations to develop effective, evidence-based treatment plans. Using current physical therapy practices, the Physical Therapist delivers high-quality care aimed at achieving superior clinical outcomes and improving each patient’s quality of life.
Deliver high-quality physical therapy care to optimize clinical outcomes Prioritize patient care needs and manage caseload effectively Provide direct patient treatment using evidence-based techniques Evaluate patient history, physical capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation potential Establish and implement individualized treatment plans with functional goals aligned with physician orders and patient tolerance Educate patients on treatment plans, home exercises, recovery expectations, and injury prevention Document patient findings, progress, and treatment sessions in a timely and accurate manner Provide ongoing progress notes and updates on patient condition Manage patient discharge, including formal discharge or documentation when a patient self-discharges Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and the healthcare team regarding patient progress and needs CHARACTERISTICS Strong multitasking abilities Team-oriented mindset Maintains tact and professionalism when working with a variety of injuries and patient situations Compassionate and patient-focused communicator Excellent judgment and critical-thinking skills
Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong understanding of injury treatment, recovery, and prevention Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift equipment necessary for patient care
