Job description

Exceptional Care for Children is a Not for Profit organization committed to providing the highest quality of care and services to pediatric patients and young adults requiring transitional, long term, and/or palliative care.
We are an around-the-clock residential facility that provides skilled care to medically fragile children and young adults who have a technology dependency.
We are currently looking for a PRN Speech Pathologist to join our team. (8-10 hours weekly) Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care within scope of practice.
Evaluate, screen, and treat children and young adults with known or suspected communication and/or oral motor/swallowing disorders.
Develop an individual therapy plan for each assigned patient which includes appropriate goals for treatment.
Update goals and record patient progress according to departmental procedures.
Consult and collaborate with other medical professionals within the care team.
Provides education and training to families and staff as needed.
Maintain precise, timely clinical documentation.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Licensure

Current Delaware SLP License and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).

Experience

Minimum of 1-2 years of pediatric experience (preferred). Direct experience with tracheostomy and ventilator - dependent population is highly preferred. Strong background in pediatric dysphagia and/or AAC. Why Join ECC?
