Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of the physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by provider
Education: High school graduate or equivalent Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program (preferred) or documentation of training/work experience equivalent to training of a Medical Assistant accredited program Must be certified or registered within six (6) months of hire Current BLS certification
