Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring for oncology patients on the PCU, updating plans with the care team.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders, monitor for adverse effects, and manage venous access.
• Monitor for signs of clinical change; respond promptly to deteriorations and escalate per unit protocol.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the broader care team to coordinate treatment and discharge planning.
• Document care activities and patient responses in the electronic medical record; provide family education as needed.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification are required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in progressive care, step-down, or intermediate care settings; oncology experience preferred
• Ability to work night shift in a hospital setting; able to travel for a 13-week assignment
• Comfortable functioning in a fast-paced PCU environment and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
