Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and the anesthesiologist and coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical procedures
• Maintain patient safety and sterile technique throughout the perioperative phase of care
• Prepare the sterile field, assist with instrument handling, and manage counts as applicable
• Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment in collaboration with the surgical team
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, communicate critical information to team members, and document perioperative care

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of California (or appropriate state of assignment)
• Ability to work in an operating room/perioperative environment
• Availability to work rotating 8-hour shifts (5x8) and a travel assignment schedule
• Strong communication, teamwork, and situational awareness skills
• Experience in or ability to adapt to high-paced surgical settings and sterile technique
