Responsibilities

• Deliver direct intraoperative nursing care as the OR Circulator, following established standards of care and the nursing process
• Prepare the operating room, position the patient, maintain sterile technique, and manage instrument and sponge counts
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to intraoperative events; document nursing care accurately
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff in the OR under policy, applying critical thinking and independent judgment
• Support continuous communication and handoffs with the broader perioperative team to maintain a smooth workflow

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted California RN license
• OR Circulator experience or OR nursing experience (1+ year preferred)
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (ASN or BSN)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts in an OR setting and meet the start date
• Willingness to comply with health and facility policies and credentialing
