The Cytotechnologist provides diagnostic data on body specimens through microscopic evaluation and screening of gynecologic and non-gynecologic smears. They are responsible for operating analytical instruments, preparing slides, and collaborating with pathologists to classify abnormal cases.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and be a Registered Cytotechnologist or eligible for registration within one year. West Virginia State Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Practitioner is required.
