The nurse is responsible for coordinating patient care in the operating room, including delegation and supervision of staff. Duties include managing post-operative care, patient discharge, and maintaining a safe environment through supply management.
Candidates must hold a nursing license in West Virginia and a CPR certification, with an associate degree or diploma required. A bachelor's degree and specialty certification are preferred.
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a casual, as needed Registered Nurse to work in our Operating Room.
The Registered Professional Nurse - Operating Room is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients, and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated. Care for the patient post operative and discharge patient. The person will order supplies and do whatever is necessary to maintain a safe environment for patient care.
The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
