The APP provides high-quality, cost-effective patient care within the Neurosurgery Department. They assist supervising physicians in patient management and perform various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved NP or PA program with a current West Virginia license and prescriptive privileges. BLS and ACLS certifications are required, and 3 to 5 years of experience is preferred.
Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant program and holds a current license in the State of West Virginia. Attains and maintains limited prescriptive privileges according to the West Virginia Code.
Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, staff and other health care providers. Ability to use equipment needed for a thorough physician examination. Behaviors which reflect understanding, emotional stability, patience, tact and consideration for individual difference. BLS and ACLS required.
