Supervise the safe and timely dispensing of medications while ensuring accuracy in strength and dosage. Screen drug regimens for allergies and interactions and provide drug information to patients and health professionals.
Requires a degree from an approved College of Pharmacy and registration or eligibility for registration in the state. BLS certification and hospital experience are preferred.
Degree from approved College of Pharmacy. Should be registered or eligible for registration in this state. BLS preferred. Membership in professional associations is desirable.
Should possess thorough knowledge of the theory and practice of pharmacy. Hospital experience is desirable, but On-the-job training is provided since many tasks and methods are indigenous to hospital pharmacy.
Should type accurately and with moderate speed. Basic computer skills. Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly appearance at all times. Able to work under stress and have a high level of personal and professional ethics and conduct.
