The provider will manage CVT critical care patients through daily rounds, diagnostic ordering, and prescribing treatment plans. They are responsible for documenting patient histories, performing bedside procedures, and coordinating care with attending physicians.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved NP or PA program with current West Virginia licensure and board certification. Two years of experience as an NP/PA or Critical Care RN is preferred, along with ACLS certification.
Education: Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant program
Licensure: Current licensure in the State of West Virginia Board Certification as Nurse
Practitioner NP-BC/National: Certification in Physician Assistant (PANCE)PA-C
Certification: ACLS
Comply with West Virginia Code related to attaining and maintaining limited prescriptive privileges.
Two (2) years experience preferred as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Two (2) years as a Critical Care RN or Nurse Practitioner preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, staff and other health care providers. Ability to use equipment needed for a thorough physical examination. Behaviors which reflect understanding, emotional stability, patience, tact and consideration for individual differences.
