Provide neuropsychological assessments and clinical psychological services to patients with neurological impairments across pediatric to geriatric populations. Develop cognitive-behavioral treatment programs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage complex patient cases.
Requires a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or neuropsychology and a valid New York State Psychology License. A postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology is mandatory, with board certification preferred.
Provides neuropsychological intervention, including neuropsychological assessments to individuals for a wide range of neurologically impaired patient populations including brain injury, stroke, anoxia, sports concussions, tumors, dementia, parkinson’s and huntington’s diagnosis. Collaborates with physicians and team members on cases involving complicated multi-faceted problems. Conducts and documents neuropsychological examinations, diagnoses, treatments and interdisciplinary plans and behavioral approaches. Develops cognitive and behavioral treatment programs in conjunction with the entire treatment team appropriate to the patient’s neuropsychological functioning. Provides ongoing evaluative, rehabilitative, and therapeutic psychological services to assigned patients. Communicates with family remembers regarding the cognitive/behavioral status of patients and explains the treatment regimens. Participates in family education programs. Offers educational opportunities to the neuroscience staff and the community concerning brain behavior relationships and their impact on rehabilitation and behavior management. Develop and maintain current knowledge of scientific and professional developments related to neuropsychological assessment and treatment of brain-injured persons. Design and/or participate in research for publication and internal development. Assists other program professionals with the design and implementation of research projects. Participates in supervision of psychology students and postdoctoral trainees as requested. Ensures compliance of all regulatory bodies including NYS DOH, APA, CARF and CMS REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or neuropsychology (APA-accredited preferred) Experience in neuropsychological assessment/diagnosis or brain injury rehabilitation as well as the ability to work sensitively in a team-oriented, collaborative atmosphere are essential. New York State Psychology License required. Postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology required.
Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology Preferred. PAY RANGE: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
