Perform and ensure the validity of technical laboratory procedures across multiple disciplines for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Provide technical support for problem resolution, regulatory compliance, and client issues to management.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a physical, chemical, or biological science and a CLS license. A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Generalist in an acute hospital clinical laboratory is required.
EDUCATION Bachelor’s Degree in a physical, chemical or biological science from a college or university accredited by the Western Association of Schools or Colleges, or the equivalent thereof. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE CLSL-Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist Upon Hire PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: 6 mos-2 years. A minimum of 6 months of experience in an acute hospital clinical laboratory working as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Generalist competent in all modalities including Transfusion Service. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Ability to work with laboratory information system. Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to perform basic math and statistical functions. Ability to apply independent judgment while carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills.
